Newbie questions about D2Hackit

I have just recently started experimenting with D2Hackit and the whole packet/sniffer programs, which by the way is a lot of fun. I have found a lot of information on how to use these programs, and what can be done with them. However, when I attempt to use these programs myself, I run into problems.

For instance even running a simple command such as .send 500100000001000000 to drop 1 gold on the ground gets me an instantly lost connection followed by a realm down (going on 30 minutes of r/d now). The funny part is that I actually am using this for educational purposes and for fun. I don't really care about hacking/duping that much, I just like to learn about programs and how they work.

So my real question is: Does anyone know why I get disconnected when attempting to run ANY commands with D2hackit??? I am unable to do even harmless ones. Is there a way to fix this??

For the record I made a new account just for the purpose of messing around with this stuff... so I couldn't care less if it was banned. And I'm not doing anything harmful enough to warrent a CDKey ban... so I'm not worried.

Yeah, I was thinking maybe bliz didn't like .repeat commands, so I tried simply dropping ONE gold (only once) using the command, and also got r/d. I'll surely try again, but only after I'm done with my real playing and prepared to go another 30 minutes without D2.

I would try some things offline, but I think it's more fun online. Besides, anyone can use a pre-written trainer (Diablo 1 anyone?), just look at Open Bnet. I like seeing what the limitations are online with this program, and what scripts I can write myself. Even simple things like opening the cube/stash anywhere... I know there are a million programs already to do these things, but it's more rewarding to write something yourself.


But nonetheless I'll just keep trying, and I'll try other things besides the gold drop. Thanks though, I've learned a lot from all of you just scouring these forums. (I think it should be a rule that every newbie has to read the first 5 pages of topics in any forum before posting... it helps a lot).
