NEED YOUR INPUT: Remote-controlled Hacks

Me and Shadowfrench are wondering who is interested in the following type of hack:

Whoever's playing the game runs a client-type hack on their system...
If that person has a 2nd computer in the same room, that comp then has a remote-type hack installed that retrieves info from the client and shows all information on it's own monitor.

Using this, you can have the 2nd computer's monitor right next to yours while you're playing and watch enemy movements, hero levels, gold, etc... kind of like ShadowFrench' 1v1 hack without the alt-tabbing and it can work for any map, be it 2v2, 5v5 or custom

This map would be UNDETECTABLE and is potentially more useful than the traditional maphack.

Give us some input, tell me what you think about this idea, what would improve it, and if you would like this hack if we did decide to develop it.

:( honestly I dont see it being very popular. most are fortunate enough to have 1 comp let alone 2, or 2 that they could put to that use. I just think more poeple would be inclined to take there risks with old maphack or not hack.

Just my opinion. Please dont let it discourage you.

its a good idea but it would be a hassle having two screens operating at the same time. Then having to look back and forth when you can just have a window on screen showing everything.

As ShadowFrench said, this hack would be more for the GOSU players... if you're a crappy player, no hack in the world is going to help you out... this would be one of those hardcore hacks that the best players in the world can use without being detected, people that think this game is worth a 2nd PC.

We were thinking about doing a dual monitor type of hack but we're not sure if we can get around the other monitor blacking out when a full-screen directx application is run.

#Edit I thought about what I said and it was stupid.

But would you be able to do it with like a laptop and a desktop?

Since it will either be UDP or TCP socket based, it doesn't matter what the client/remote is programmed in as long as they can handle eachother's protocol.

And yeah, both me and SF program mainly in VB for speed of interface-development, and yeah we always meant for this remotely controlled hack to work on a windows system.

I don't use hacks at all, but I think that you should investigate being able to run an "emulated" WC3 on the same computer as the map hack is running. Somewhat like an emulator, except you would be streaming the data from WC3 to it. It would require an alt+tab every once and a while but it may possibly work.

earlier it was stated that this hack would be for "GOSU" players.. umm.. hacking.. gosu?? something tells me that if you need to hack.. you arent so gosu.. just a thought :)

BUT.. this hack would be quite interesting.. OR you could just go back to the old version of the maphack.. when the map click was legit, but find a way to make it undectable.. also.. jsut a thought

This is really interesting, would it work if I use a tv as second screen (with tv out on my video card) if not for 2 screen you need 2 video card..right? And not many motherboard have 2 room for this ^^. Unless its an agp.

I encourage you to do the hack ;)

c0ik - it would work on the same computer for any dual monitor/screen combination setup that still allows display on the other screens when launching full screen directx applications ... I've yet to look into it

What is the best resolution for graphic user interface.

1024*768
800*600

Because i try to put all in 800*600 but it is too small.
