Need the opinion from americans

You know those big wall of texts people do sometimes, and people saying 'Your wall of text crits me for whatever'?

Well I had an idea for an image for it, but I really think it can be quite harsh, even not being american (and, yes, the reason is actually not even american at all). But is this considered actually an insult, or just lack of common sense?

Wouldn't depend if you were really patriotic though? Like, by looking at the image I can associate that with a few wars maybe. At least that's what it looks like, the plaques they write everyone of the dead/missing soldiers names into. :/

I think it depends. That doesn't really insult me but it would probably make someone who is in the army or more patriotic angry.

Well, a Wall of Text is generally just one large block of paragraphs and **** that, if the person isnt'a total tard would of spaced out properly.

The thing you posted is a list of names of veterans that died. It's not supposed to be formatted properly into paragraphs with breaks and such. It's supposed to be formatted as a list, so your picture wouldn't really make any sense.

If I wanted to make sense I would have added 'mourn' instead of cry, too. You get what I did, no need to be picky

In any case, it seems the general consensus that it is, as Renzo said, specific bad taste. Which is why I asked in the first place. No insult to Americans specifically but just not nice.

Cheers, I'll keep it to myself - a bit too late, I know, but at least I won't use it in the WoW forums as I planned to as soon as I found a good occasion.

It's the vietnam war memorial in dc. I wouldn't say it's that funny except in the kind of shock value you might get from 9/11 jokes or VA Tech shooting jokes... but since vietnam happened awhile ago it probably loses much of its shock value too. For the specific image, it is clever but not all that funny because the shock value of making fun of Vietnam wore off before most of us were born.

Well, just so you know the circunstances, I thought of it when my World of Warcraft guilld introduced the Veteran rank (you know, to people who've been there for a long time ), and the GM made this big text and people commented about wall of text.

It isn't in any way related to Vietnam, just veterans and wall of texts.

But yeah, out of context I get why you don't think it's that great.
