Sorry to break it to you, but this "cannon range hack" you want so bad doesn't exist. Just think about it for a minute, why would every other hack leak out into the public, even major hacks like maphack and stackhack, but yet this "cannon range hack" is kept secret? Whenever a hack like that is created, somehow someone out there gets possesion of it, and gives it to their friends or to the public...and things spread across Battle.net fast, therefore there is no "rare" hacks. Atleast ones that actually work on Battle.net.
Also, I think all you cheaters out there on Battle.net should learn how to play the damn games before u go out there and start ****ing things up. The last thing we need is a bunch of newbs with their ladderbots ****ing up the ladder...I hope that shit gets reset. It was better in the days when ladder was legit...and now they've taken that away from us.
And sunder_daishi, Blizzard designed Starcraft to be an extremely balanced game. The protoss photon cannon, is definately not the best unit in the game. You are right, photons do get "raped" by tanks, guardians, battlecruisers, etc, and anything else with long range, but before you doubt the strength of the protoss because of the weaknesses of a photon cannon, maybe you should think about using something else to defend yourself. You can't make a counter attack with defenses, and if you're going to cover your entire base with them thats a damn waste of resources. A better unit, for example, is the protoss dragoon. Much like a photon cannon, it deals 20 damage (which is upgradeable along with its armor/shields/range just among the many things adding to it's advantages) and it has around the same amount of hp as a photon. But as a mobile unit, it's much more useful to defend yourself with against an opponent who will easily micro your photons. A photon cannon may seem better than a dragoon because of it's advantage in total resource amount and hp, but it's not going to save you against a tank sieged on the ledge beside your expansion base in lost temple.
Every race has it's upsides and downsides, which is basically the way the game is balanced. Zerg sacrifices strength for mobility/speed/low costs, protoss sacrifices speed and mobility strength, and terran sacrifices mobility and unit toughness for strength and technicality. Every race has these attributes incorporated into certain units or strategies, just to more or less of an extent in each of them.
Sorry for going kind of off-topic about your search for this "cannon range hack", but if you want to become a better starcraft player you should at least take what I've said into consideration. It seems that was your ultimate goal, to improve your use of the protoss race, but to attempt to stop another hardcore cheater from being born I've given you a bit of advice.
Although this is only my opinion, and I'm not forcing you to not cheat on Battle.net, but I believe that the less cheaters we have now will bring us a better future.
