Need help memorizing my speech.

For drama I have to memorize 3 paragraphs of a famous speech. I with all my moronic senses had chosen to do the State Of The Union Adress. So any tips on memorizing?

Tape it to the inner side of your forearm. Wear long sleeves and when you get a lil iffy, look down and pull up your sleeve a little bit.

Or just record you saying it really slowly, and put the microphone by your ear, and cover it with your hand, while leaning on your hand. Then just copy it from the tape.

Or just try memorizing one line at a time. Try getting like the first paragraph down really good, then go on to the first 1 or 2 sectences of the second paragraph. Just keep adding a little more until you've got it.

Try saying on a tape recorder and listen when you're asleep. That or write it on your hand.

Or get lazy and write it on your arm.

Does listening to something while you sleep actually get you to know stuff?



anyways, write it over and over again. that will definitely help you remember it especially if you have a good photographic memory.

Whenever I have to memorize something, I just read it and sleep on it, then study 2 minutes before we have to say/write it. It really sticks with me. I guess I just have good memory since I memorized like a page and a half long thing without really reading it.

I totally aced it.

By the way, why do you need ideas on how to memorize stuff from people you don't even know on a forum? I don't like it when people come and complain about there problems on BattleForums and expect everyone to be sympathetic and helpful all the time.

Sorry but I don't see any reason why you should need to post on here about having to memorize 3 paragraphs.

Works for me.

Or just memorise some parts, and then swear when you get to a part when you can't remember, and complain you had too much homework.

write it down a couple of times, paragraph by paragraph. depending on what u prefer for memorizing you could use different colors for specific words or underline some which you think should be underlined. this useually helps because a whole lot of ppl are visual learning types.. or you could record it and listen to it on tape if youre accoustic..
