Need help making map

whats the best map maker for a UMS map? and how do i make one.... Now for example how would i make a family guy or a super smash bros. type? plz reply thx.

It's really difficult to know. Everyone has their own preferences.

SCXE is probably used the most and is the simplist to learn beacuase it's just a modded StarEdit. Then it's up to you whether you use StarForge or SCM Draft. I use both, but I use SCM Draft a litle more now than STarForge.

alright i got that but i have classic mode, p12 modebase mode, alternative mode, and special mode.... what 1 would i use to map a UMS map?

They are all for different things, generally I only use special mode in SCXE as it basically allows the most flexibility.
If you want square or P12 units id recomend using SCM draft or Starforge.. like LoN said I use SCM draft more and only use starforge for special things I need to do.
