So, I've been in Kabul for what? Maybe 4 months? And I'm already getting a small hole forming on the crotch of my favorite pair of cargo pants.

I'm also concerned about the welfare of my shirts if, what I thought was, a semi-thick pair of cargo pants have had a hole punched through them already.

Anyone have any suggestions? Something I can order online would be preferred so I can do my own shopping and have it sent to the Army Post Office.

From what I recall some of the strongest material are those old fasion potato sacks.

If you were in America it would be odd but over in Kabul you'll look like an Afgan Noble.

Burlap, and no.

I recommend this search, or you could hem some strong jeans for the heat.

your thinking about this all wrong. the problem is that you have so much clothing material exposed, that it is bound to have a weak point SOMEWHERE.

the less amount of clothing, the less chance of ruining it.

therefore, string bikini.

If you were in Shanghai, I'd probably fix them up for you by making some cool patchwork stuff on them. You could recycle them into shorter shorts as well.
