I've been trying to find a good map protector for a long time, and knowing a lot of idiots are out there I want to protect my maps. I don't want people to edit things and screw up the map. So I'm looking for a good map protector. Can someone please help me?

GuEdit is fairly simple to use, so i reccomend that one. You can download it here. And to run GuEdit you need a program called JRE (Java Runtime Enviroment), you can get that here.

SCM Toolkit is not on that site... SCM Draft is. I dunno if it's my computer, but SCM Draft isn't working for me, there's alotof bugs in it.

i like GUEdit. I read on how to install SCMToolkit and don't think it's for me. GUEdit is pretty easy to install. You just dl it and the Java thingy, then unzip into a directory and make sure your zip program doens't open up .jar's and voila, you can protect your maps. And lots of other things too.

GUEdit never worked for me, even with Java Runtime installed.

As for 2pac, I never even heard of him till he was dead. Tells you how much of a piece of work he was.

you have to have staredit of sc-xtra closed for it to work. I think you might get a different error message for that but i'm not sure.

uh, yeah StarDraft has a lot of Evil Bugs in it... As whenever i try to open/start a map, it says "StarDraft Does Not Contain Enough Memory" even when i make it a 1x1... pretty buggy... and it doesnt contain trigger modifying does it?

You can't run GUedit and Star Edit at the same time.

PROEdit

To date, the best map protector is PROEdit 1.1 (aka ARCHPro when Achn stole it)

There's no program that could unprotect maps that are protected by it.

[COLOR=2299FF]Alright, to sum things up, I'm going to end this thread by giving information for PROEdit, and then closing the thread.

Go here to get PROEdit Ver. 1.1, and grab the attachment of "Common Controls" with it to have it run properly.
