Necros in hell

are they too weak to MF in hell???
I made a necro on new ladder.
20 raise skeleton
20 skeleton mastery
20 corpse explosion
5 revive
amplify damage
iron maiden

am i doing something wrong???
the skeletons get owned like nothing...
i also die frequently during pit runs... :hbut
i should've made a sorc???

im not too sure on summoner necro's, but how many + skills do u have? also,it helps to have a clay golem.

The best choice would be maxxed fire golem and summon resist then max revive and skeleton mastery. Revives are hands down one of the best summons a necro has. Use the fire golem to take down a few monsters and then revive their bodies to make an army of the same monsters with 100% more damage. defense, and life.

I have some high level Summoners and I know what you mean. Having poor gear in Hell can be rough. You'd have to give more details if you want a precise solution to your problem... but here's 3 things that would definitely help...
- Act 2 Defiance merc. Keeps the skellies goin' much longer by decreasing their percentage "to get hit". (Act 2 Holy Freeze merc would help, too... but then the Necro has less corpses to raise. Bad idea).
- Decrepify (curse). Keeps the skellies goin' longer by slowing the monsters, thereby getting hit less frequently, and makes the skellies kill faster by adding some form of amplify damage.
- Play in a party. The Summoner's role in Hell is usually just to distract monsters and allow other party members to damage them safely. If you're trying to solo it, anticipate some long, frustrating battles.

First off all maxed fire golem = noob, maxed summon resist = noob, max revivew = ULTRA NOOB!@!!!!!!@. Revives are hands down one of the worst summons a necro has. Because of their low life and shitty ability to move around they = sux!

Also use decrep! Not amp >_> Amp is only good for physical immunes

Now for the act 2 merc. DO NOT GET A DEFIANCE or any other merc but might MERC!!! Are you trying to lower your damage by x2? How will that help you kill???

Might merc + decrep would be like a holy freeze merc with might aura! Also stack auras on your merc. Fanat, or anything else you can muster will help a lot.

Max revivew? Max fire golem? lollerskates!!!

Rofl. I can name a few Hammadin's and Smiters that if you attach an enigma and a few 7% smfc's they will rape a soc MFing easy. So don't say that sorc's are the only good thing for MFing. Plus a good PnB necro can MF. A summon necro no. Don't talk shit unless you know it.

Umm. If you a lagomancer (ie summoner or commander), max skele, skele mages, skele mastery, amp dmg, and a few on revive. The best equipment would be arm of king leoric and maybe trangs but im a bit rusty with necs as they suck for, well, alot of things.

My bad, i commend you and your five years of experience, i just have used sorcs more then anything. I do no that sorcs can get more mf though.
