Ancient Protector Rush

The Night Elf's strongest "units" are there buildings. In a game, I will build say 34 archers, 12 ancients protecters. and 6 huntresses and a dragonfariee. The only counter for this that I can see would be a worm rush. But 12 worms v 36 archers...

I belive few mgs can do better tanking than those protectors

And 34 Archers? .... they will be raped hard against heroes AoE attacks and other spells, (stomps, clap, etc)

They are going to be raped against tier 3 units.


And Thats not a rush when your considering 34 archers.

mgs? Please don't use slang. This is a message board, not a chat room. I don't know about you, but I can make 34 archers pretty fast. AoE? I do know that heros will die very fast taking into account that I have a priest of the high moon. :madatu

he's right legend, AP Attacks is/was pretty effective, very funny to. But late game is retarded and rushing is the only way it's going to win- it's about suprising your enemy. And people use acronyms all the time, it's a way of speech if you don't like it, dont tell other people not to use it.

actually i seen something like it done but a little diffent. On two rivers in a NE mirror match the guy made the standard hunts, archers, and glaives with PotM.

but the killer part was he grabbed like 3 goblin sappers and ran them into my buildings while he attacked, and the same time built 4 ancients of war close enough to attack all my stuff.

needless to say I got owned and was pretty shocked at the fact that 4 aow's were destroying what was left of my base while he went to go kill my expo^^

AP tower rushing works, especialy for NE who need to counter gargs. jsut set em up so they cant leave the base, and ruin them with glaives.

yes both the aow and ap have different advantages.

aow has more hp, better armour. AP have less hp and armour, but are ranged, and can attack air.

0.5 in there attack difference.

um AP uprooted have have heavy too pan.

The point of aow isnt too uproot them otherwise it would be smarter to just build ap's a little farther away.

your suppose to build them close enough to damaged while rooted. then uproot and move them in closer just like with AP's

Im guessing its most effective in the NE mirror match, since thats where ive seen it done.

if you have ever seen it done before and new NE you would know in the mirror match players use the aow not ap's for this strat

I'd rather use AoW's instead. They look cooler to me plus AP is still crap for defence (better then nothing, but I'd rather have a Dieign Tower shooting soul power then a tree throwing pebbles).

Well if your going to do AP rush... its not going to be rush, really, you need tanks

You cant make AP and up root them and then attack, it might've work if its RoC, but in TFT, they have heavy armor.

Just build APs in enemies base, just like how you'd do tower rush, and upg ancient blessing thingy in tier 2,

And MGs arent slang, they are abbreviation of unit, Mountain Giant.

Potm sucks totally, in this case Demon Hunter by himself works best, (power lvling)

And trees throwing Pebbles? They do 60 dmg, with range of 800 I think, thats not pebbles



As a rush, what you can do is make few hunts and Demon hunter, bring along 3 wisps, and build 3 APs in their bases, and keep on sending hunts. Its almost impossible to counter that in beginning, towers own so much with their 60 dmg ^^

But of course, what Im talking about is in RoC, I dont know if it works in TFT.

depends how ur gonna use it N_ I still suggest that you use potm first hero dh second... cuase you want to play it out like a normal mirro up untill the point you attack.

that is the smart way anyways just play as if ur playing a normal mirror then when you hit throw them up.

unless ur micro is extremely better your gonna have a rough time putting them up near his base when he has hunts, potm, glaives, ancients and wells to deal with.

I was referring to RoC too ngb, and we're not talking about only against NE vs NE either,

AP rush still sorta works in TFT, Im sure of it, hero rush with severl hunts and making AP in front of their base like orc tower rush.

ive seen AoW rush done before but i still dont understand...if its ne vs ne the aow cant be build near the old buildings because they attack as well and the first unit for ne is an archer n aow cant touch n archer

that why you build your aow/'s next to alters or moonwells only, and use kotg with entangle to stop the archers coming out.

its not really meant to win you the game its a distraction method for fast techers, so that you can archers and dryads, etc of your own while making them waste resources just to maintain there base.
