Nanotechnology

i was thinking about nanotech and there are a LOT of good things about it.such as repairing cells pratically one by one to cure a problem.once they are advanced they will be able to determine what to get rid of and what not too.

Now what if some one programed the little bots to do bad stuff X_X you could get the from the air,water(cept maybe digestion will safe you) and or anywhere else they can be stuck and u would never know.then programed to do harmful things they could torture people worse then anything else could.they could tear u apart from the inside.only good side is they cant multiply like viruses and such.

--and now another idea.how is info stored in our brains?with electricity?if so could we read what we know once we have the technology?then the harmful bot combined with that technology.....who ever programed the bad bots would beable to read what u know.--(this one is just a strange idea)

heh,u got a poitn there have been a few movies about this,the main one i can remember is, cowboy bebop the movie,i think there where a few more


as for in real life yes that could be a problem but if ppl can progam a nonobot dont u think they could program another nanobot just to coounter the harmfull one?

Theoretically yes, but consider computer viruses. We can counteract them with firewalls and routers and virus protection programs, but all it takes is one pissed off program who knows how to exploit a popular program to cause havoc for a long time. Now consider if instead of your computer it was your body.

When dealing with nanites one must also consider that the human body will react to foreighn particles as perceived threats and act to destroy them.

the body uses like enzynmes and such other organic stuff i think.and nanobots(TINY TINY robots,like u cant see so small) prolly harder to destroy and they are "smart".they will HAVE to figure a way for body to accept them b4 they can even be concider for the benifical uses within the body.the nanobots doing good stuff cant do much if body is try to "kill" them.so the ones programed for harm will be like the good ones just bad so if good ones can be accepted bad ones may be too.


you could get sum in you as a "firewall" like jim said.but u could send in a million in a small amount cc syringe
