N00b here! need BNET help

hey im no n00b to warcraft but i am to battle.net and for some reason it wont work... it always says i need to log online cause i got dial up. and when i do that it still wont work.

are you sure that you are online? i mean, did you hear dialtone etc...? because if you are online and you are looking at webpages, they could just be stored on your hard drive as images and you will think that you are online, without actually dialing up. So make sure you hear the dialtone and the phone actually dialing. That's my advice for now...

In order to play online, your dial up settings cant be restricted. For example, you have to be set on adult prefernces for aol. Your parents will just have to trust you to not look at porno

You have to connect to the Internet first. Then start Warcraft, then goto Battle.net.

Doesnt sound like a preferance's problem. The clue is your trying to log on and it fails, but your not connected to any ISP server so it's going to fail.

Unless, you are connected to the Internet. It is failing at the Battle.net log on. Then you must create an account first, on battle.net. If thats the case, click on create account button.

you go to battle.net in the main screen

well i used my friends battlenet before. and i found out what was wrong with my comp. i had a virus on it but i got it cfixed. My BNET is finally working now finally!
