Affliction was pissing me off, unstable affliction is worthless, and I tire of being out DPS'd by the damned healer for cripes sake.

So I'm trying this new build. Still mana efficient, still instance ready, and packs a wallop. I was thinking of an SM/Ruin build, but thought about how tedious it would be to grind on with spending as little money on drinks as possible.

Discuss.

If you're a lock being outdpsed by a healer, then you need to reroll. Seriously.

It's an exaggeration. I just wanted to kill faster than I was, a little more DD.

Full destruction = life tap + bandage or drink 24/7.

Lolocks are absurdely strong, so what?

But yes, I've heard that destruction is the most damaging tree.

Most damaging yes, most mana efficient, no. This build is going for the best of both worlds until I'm ready to go back to the raiding/pvp grind, that of which I'll be switching over to either a full destro build or going back to popping a felguard :D But so far this build is working rather flawlessly and is also rather interesting.

Mana efficient? Life tap, healthstone, mana pots, health pots, bandages. What's not efficient about it?

Depends if you put points into it.

Affliction is raiding and destruction is pvp? So demonology is just ****ing lame? Thought so.

Demonology is awesome for PvP, and if you are farming. Was the staple for raiding, but that seems to have changed. Affliction if you are grinding, works rather well in raiding too simply because you can withstand a rather long boss battle and not even have to calm down on nuking, and Destruction works rather well in raiding if you know when and when not to LT, and have a healer who likes you :p

My build is for both instances and grinding, which I figured was a rather good thing beings thats what I'm doing for the most part finishing up getting to 70. I PvPed with it earlier and fared rather well in AB, taking out 69 hunters and mages at 64. I'll be honest and tell you these people were poorly geared, but so am I. I have 400 or so +dmg and 5k health, you can decide your opinion from that.

But with the poop gear, I'm still pushing 2.2k crits every other battle, so I'm definately not complaining.

Edit: And actually, the type of locks that do the highest amount of damage are SM/Ruin locks, or with the extra 10 talent points from BC, SM/Conf or SL/Ruin ;)
