My mod wont work help

Ok ive put my mod into my d2 directory like ur supposed to, but when i go to single player with the mod in there it bring down diablo 2 and gives me an unhandled exception. Yes i have tried many other mods from mewgood.com but i still get the same unhandled exception. i have no idea what is going on and would like someone to plz help me with my situation. Thanks.
