My MF experience

I have played D2 from day one. I took a long break at the beginning of 1.08 and just started back up wihen 1.10 came out.

I made a barb, leveled him to 75 or so. Then i got enigma and war travs. I had like 125 MF !!!!, so I started doing hell meph with people in act 2 games. The first month of me making enigma i got soo much stuff it wasnt even funny. Like, eagle horn, dracs, valor, 3x SS, soul drainers, spiderweb, gaze, 3x arreats, occy, shako, mithril coil, light saber, crown of ages-which i dont know why is so expensive, ect....

Then it all stopped. I would have to do 50 runs to get a decent drop. By decent i mean something i join a normal game to give away.

About 1000 runs later i manage to get a few b stars, nords, demon limbs, water sprinkler, bartucs, another arreats, a gaze helping some one kill D, but not near the level of stuff i had been finding.

So here is what im going to do. I have 2 computers networked together. I will get another D2 on the other computer and make a barb, make an enigma and see if it happens like it did before.

Anyone have similer experiences with the drops?

From my days of mfing on 1.06, and 07 i would say it was the same way. At first i would find things like Zak, and then it would stop.

Ya...off of hell andy first few weeks of ladder i got insane drops, but than it all stopped :/

My 85 Sorc goes in waves, try doing different things, make a new char to MF with it takes time to reset maybe for a char's mf to go back. Like maybe the MF wears off after so many runs?

Ya the game is a b itch. A real kawk Teaser.
You find loads of shit in the beginning then eventually you just get frustrated with the game. I found an Ist on the 3rd countess run. I have never done countess runs up until last weekend. Now that I've found one, I'm afraid I will never find an Ist again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's my thought: I believe that Blizzard has a drop rate that influences your chars. They may not tell you but I feel that the closed B.Net has this. I also think that Blizz keeps a record of the drops and will restict elites from dropping too often.

My experience is also similar to others with nice drops early, then not too much.

I've also encountered more rares with my 350+ MF zon in hell but less elites while my 11MF barb gets much less rares but better elites in hell.

Go figure that out.

It's really about chance but my barb got Nats Armor and IK maul yesterday while my zon got nada but rares and probably x3 more runs.

i have been hearing that your character has a certain passive amount of mf that you can't see or calculate. it goes up with your character level. this is what i have HEARD from OTHER people, so don't call me a noob for thinking this up.
