I will be visiting Australia shortly, if you could so kindly create a list of things to do before I leave, thanks.
I'm primarily focused on holding a baby koala bear, and foods/drinks that the US doesn't have, so if anyone knows some good foods or drinks, that would be appreciated.

It's going to be hot any time before April and what you intend to do there determines what you should be packing. And remember to sort out your tourist visa before leaving, which should be a piece of cake if you're able to do yours online. And get an international driving license if you haven't already (you never know when you might need to drive).

Holding a koala bear's going to cost you...and when I saw the price, I thought it was a real rip off.

I'll be there in December/jan, so I'm expecting some hot and humid. As far as the visa goes, I'll be there less than 90 days so thats no issue. I'll look into the Driving permit, not sure how that works but I'm a member of AAA, so I'll talk to them about it.
And holding a koala is free if you snatch it up from nature ;)

That sounds awesome Gimmi, are you to swim in the great barrier reef?
Oh well not sure how close you can get anyway.

Have a good time and take pictures for us!

But not when those blobs are busy swaying really high up in the tree!

And beware of them pooping on your head. Hahahaha.

Edit: Oh god. I hated going to the Great Barrier Reef. It was way too easy for me to get violently seasick on that 2 hour major bump ride on that ship on the way since it's not right next to the shore (and that wasn't just me - about 80% of the passengers on board looked really ill). And given the current condition of the reef, it's probably not really worth the trip unless if you want bragging rights as a diver.

Which is unfortunately illegal. It's a protected species, you know.
Anyway: have a nice vacation. :)
Hah, yeah shh I won't tell if you don't ;)
but actually, I was told a resort I was staying at offered it, not sure if that's true.

Yeah I'll be going to the reef, not sure how exactly that works with just jumping in and swimming, but if it's not too much of a hassle I'd like to get my divers license and dive there, something I've always wanted to do.

Amantis care to share how the whole swimming near the reef works? I don't know a thing about it
