My computers f'n up...

Ok, for the past week my computer has been being the biggest b*tch on the planet. When I try to run my computer with programs up or a game up for even 15 minutes, it shuts down then some kind of siren goes off, like an ambulance. I have to hold in the power button for it to stop, then it is totally off. I don't know why it is doing that, but I tried formatting my computer as well... It shutdown and did it while I was doing that. So it is a piece of hardware, I am thinking either my video card or my hard drive... My Video Card may be dying(a year old though...) and my hard drive, because it cannot take that much(I have 60gigs, 45 free.) so I don't know why that would be it...

Try contacting the dealers or makers of your computer. The warranty should still be active and you maybe able to get something out of this situation

do you regularly clean out your computer from dust?? this might be a problem for the power supply.

another problem might have been overheating, you might have burnt your processor which is causing the problem.

also, like 13eat-13ox suggested, contact the manufacturer and see if you can get a replacement or fix, if its still under the warrenty. If you built it yourself, clean it, and if that doesnt fix it, run some programs that check memory / video card / hard drive / cpu for errors.

there was a program on tech-tv.com last week that had a memory check program that looks for errors. give it a shot.
