Only One Project, Only Futuristic

First off, I am not a modeler/mapmaker and definitely wouldn't waste my time with that. This is mostly for Chris, as I don't expect others to be excited about my private maps (even though I may turn smth into public).

I am making a war3 unit (me), not hero, in the game with my nickname and my own futuristic city and own army&agents. My army&city style are buildings from EE1 and the army would be Marines and SC units I guess, and one EE cyber. I chose Greenland as a location of my City and headquarters, as I've really flown over the island and I found it suitable. The idea is once I create the city, (I'm its ruler), I send agents, marines, etc. to explore the universe and fight baddies on other planets and even on Earth.

Once the City is created, I will be able to do other maps from it. When I have time I create all kinds of mission maps for me to enjoy on single player. So, the types of missions can be almost endless. What's more, the idea and even the models will continue in Starcraft II and its editor. Missions will include models done by others, so I may eventually do some public games as well and the same goes for SCII. When the game is out I won't be doing anything in Frozen Throne, I'm moving it to SCII.

I do not want to waste my time with making this, as I am not a mapmaker. That's why I assigned a person to do the models for me, someone else to help too and I will do the little stuff like the map itself and 2-3 tilesets. In that way I will have models and maps applied everywhere and every time I create a mission - it will be few days work, since everything else would be ready . I will enjoy the made and not waste my time with newer and newer models, maps or projects like those in hiveworkshop do, because I will be a gamer in SCII and not a mapmaker. Such maps will not consume my time because what they do in THW wastes as much time as playing WoW.

Sounds like a functional plan. I am good with the Object Editor and I have millions of ways of doing Triggers, just I need to pick one. I know some modeling mumbo jumbo, as I am using the scripting in Game Programming to help me get my Software Development diploma. but I can't do scripting and I don't really know how to use 3DStudioMax (although my friend sent me an email at school during his GAM667 days).

It's already in action. I did a new map 128x128 I heard the person has received the $$ and is doing the models, when in THW they see a map with a lot of stuff, they'll help too. For now I do it to enjoy it as single but I may make one of these public. I just made a tileset myself:

Saw the areas that Variations take in 512x256 texture and placed the wanted texture in those areas and here's what I got:

Warcraft III Skins - Road&AsphaltTile

Since this thread is about my project, I will be posting screenshots when it has much more things and if they like it, the very first mission will be public.

You can mix around tilesets from other maps by replacing the ones you don't want.
I know. I don't wanna waste my time with hard modelling but I am not newb with editors even with triggers - I've done war2, SC&BW, EE, RoC and now TFT maps using their editors and I know their features pretty well.
