A few things;

  • Your build is heavily elemental, but you didn't get clearcasting? Clearcasting is like a must-have in elemental builds.
  • Tidal Focus will never be worth it. Ancestral Healing/Imp Reincarnation are a thousand times better and use the same amount of talent points.
  • I'm not much of a fan of Totem of Wrath myself, even though it gives you a fire totem you might actually use.

Try this build. I added nature's swiftness thinking you really wanted it. I took out the points from tidal focus and totemic focus because you're elemental, not resto specced, and added them in talents that actually matter. I had one talent point leftover, so i put it in totemic mastery.
You now have +11% chance to crit with lightning and +6% chance to hit with all offensive spells with this build.

When you level, do elemental first and get elemental mastery before you consider to add points into resto.

Alot of people succumb to the coolness of totem of wrath. I like it myself, and i drool over lightning overload, but if you put points into those two talents, you sacrifice alot of good stuff.

If i may be so bold to comment on your build;
  • Why have elemental devastation? The only time i'd get it is if i was enhance/elemental. The +9% melee crit chance isn't worth it when you're kiting around most classes and/or chain lightning/bolting the shit out of people from afar. I'd say move those three points to eye of the storm. It's a godsend when a rogue/warrior is whacking on you.
  • Earth's grasp sucks balls. It increases your stoneclaw totems hp by 50%? Wow, you only ever use it when running away from mobs and your earthbind is on cooldown. +20% range to earthbind totem. That's two ****ing yards. So you're basically wasting two talent points for two yards on an aoe slow totem. Earthbind is good enough, costs like 91 mana at level 60 so just place it down again when they go out of range. I'd say move those two points to elemental precision. +2% spell hit chance is a ****ton better than two yards on earthbind.
  • Totemic mastery isn't worth the -1% spell crit chance out of tidal mastery. It only increases a few totems range; and all friendly totems don't have a cooldown (Except your trinket totem), and with your five points in totemic focus you'll be able to spam the hell out of them. Take the point out of totemic mastery and whack it into some more crit in tidal mastery. And for the record, when there is alot of shit going on, you're more than likely not going to keep putting totems down. EDIT - Just realised you got this for totem of wrath. I guess it could be helpful, i just personally prefer more spell crit chance.

Ok. Let's say you didn't put the 6 points in lightning overload and totem of wrath and do this, you gain;
  • +4% spell hit chance (1% from elemental precision, since you had two before. And 3% from nature's guidance).
  • +3% melee hit chance (Nature's guidance).
  • Totemic mastery (You seem to like it, so here ya go!).
  • Nature's swiftness (Self-explanatory. It has so much synergy that i'd take it over totem of wrath anyday).

Of course, in the end, it depends on your play style. If you want totem of wrath, use it. Just notice what you miss out on and the fact that totem of wrath IS a totem, and you'll be surprised how much you either forget to put it down or forget to renew it once it's either dead or you've run out of range. And instant heal or and instant 100% chain lightning crit (Elemental mastery ftw) can be a lifesaver or devastating.

EDIT - I do not mean to offend you at all with this post. Shamans just have a soft spot in my WoW-heart :p

i didn't want points in lightning overload or totem of wrath. or elemental precision for that matter. but i can understand why someone would want those skills.

Why don't you want elemental precision? +3% chance to hit with spells is awesome. Where else would you put these 3 points?

I ment to put the 2 points that are in clasp into eye of the storm.

I currently use hand of edward the odd, and with my play style and how and where i play the skills i have chosen are great.
