Hey guys,
I never had a Barb before so i dont know how to make it. So can anyone please give me a rough idea how to make a good barb. i'll probably be using swords.

My Barb build.

str - base
dex - 210
Vitality - all
Energy - base

let items boost up your str and jewels and charms to boost up max damage.
.08 stuff adds max damage per lvl.
I've got 4k life.
If you want to achieve 5k life put less in dex and get items to boost up Attack rating.

I've build a new barb. The other barb build 2 posts ago is BvB build. For an all around PVP barb here are the stats

Str: Base
Dex: 110
Vitality: Rest
Mana: Base

stats with gear
242 str
200 dex
405 vitality
60 mana

max bo
max shout
max ww
max axe mastery
1 point to iron skin
1 to Natural resistance
1 point to fast/run walk
1 point to berserk (physical immunes)
rest of the skills points (whatever you please. experiment)
I might put the rest to fastrun/walk (i don't know yet)
but my barb does well in duels eg. dueled and beat a lvl 91 smite paly ezpk


My barb at lvl 79 has 5.3k life
Gear:
Arreats 40/15jewel
Highlords, Angelics, imp brow
2x raven frost or Angelics, dwarf stars, wisps
Mage plate enigma (55str req)
vergdungos, arach mesh (casters), or tgods (lite sorb.
Botd zerk
SS 40/15jewel, 4xptopaz monarch
Rends or Dracs
Grim spurs (boots)
Anni 20/18/9
8war cry gcs with lifers
10x 290s 1x313psn sc
AR with angelics 13.5k
AR with highlords and 2x ravens 8k
damage over 7k ww and 8k conc.
Switch: 2x hotos (FCR for tele)
Try to find some gear to bump up AR. IMO i think 110 dex is sufficient. I'm aiming for 6k life after bo
Adding dex to bump up AR is not recommend. Only put dex to achieve max block. If you want to bump up your AR trying using a combination of 5x warcry gcs with 32020s.

15k to 25k def
When you use my setup you will get abou 2k life without bo. Depending on what charms use, will depend on if you get 6k life.
With 8x War Cry gcs with 2x 20 lifers, 1x 40 lifer and rest 30 lifers, I get 5.5 k life with angelics.

One thing to mention. When you're using angelics you may have to add a little dex. Every level decreases the max block percent thus you have to add dex to increase the max block percent. Just watch for the percent of max block. The way to do this is, if you hover the mouse pointer over your defence rating it will show the block percentage. If its showing less than 75% then just add dex when you lvl or try getting gear and charms to bump this up.

This is only if your using 2x angelics with angelics ammy!!!!

"15k to 25k def" I'd hope you can do better than that. 40k is the lowest I'd consider to be "godly."

A couple things..

First, 290's are gay. Whoring poison is lame and cheap.

Although its not as party friendly, you get more life if you have an inventory of just 20 life sc than war cry charms. Plus you can get additional mods on the 20 life sc's.

@the blocking, any easier way to look at it is you 222 dex at clvl 99, and 2 less dex per level. So at level 98, you need 220, and so on.

Lastly, botd is the most over-rated weapon in the game, and is no where near the best. An eth razors edge or eth death's cleaver (razors edge is better) works much better in duels. The reason, simply put, open wounds are crucial. Not as flashly, but much more effective. However, if you are just going for pure phys. damage, the ds on the death cleaver would give you more than a botd.

This is why I will be able to achieve 6k life. I'm still testing out my barb with GCs and SCs. I have 8x war cry gcs with life and have 14 slots for small charms and my life is at 5.5k. I might even use like 5x war cry and use a mixture of 20sc and some 32020s.

30 to all attributes on Botd is key for this kind of build. Since I only used Base str. Base Str = more points to Vitality. And yes i'm planning to use some 32020s. The only problem with 32020s is that they disappear even when they are permed. Did you hack my friends account? Whats the prog you use for scanning chat dialogue.
