Mosquito Bites

Now that summer's almost out, the mosquitoes are all out to play! (Oh joy...)

Recently, I've been bitten in places where it just feels weird to scratch. I'm not talking about one on the arm or on the leg. I'm talking about being stung on the thumb, where your finger print is! While I can't see exactly where the damn thing stung me, the tip of my thumb's a bit red, gone a bit hard and both itchy and painful at the same time. And it's bloody hard to scratch it! I think I'll go to a house where the walls are really grainy and run around trailing my thumb on it.

More weird mosquito experiences anyone?

My nose. It looked like an acne thing or something. We have two ponds in our garden, so plenty of them musquitos sneaky entering the house. Good thing that insects here carry no weird diseases. Any people here live in areas where you can get malaria?

Malaria's more common in places like Madagascar and many parts of Africa. In SE Asia, dengue fever's more worrying. The nose isn't so bad, but I would hate to be stung in the soles of the feet. Honestly, those things have ways to really piss you off. They even hide when you switch the lights on in the middle of the night when you attempt to slap them after they wake you up!

I live in PR... Mosquitoes and all that every day. But I am pretty resistant to the bites.

I get them bad too. Put some ice on the spot if it gets hard and red, feels great!

My worst spot would be... elbow. Rough skin + mosquito bite + nails = FFFUUUU

Yellow Fever was among some of the diseases I was vaccinated for before going to Afghanistan.

I was vaccinated for Hepatitis A and Typhoid, and also have Malaria pills "just in case".

No interesting bites I can recall unfortunately.

Oh yes, and they would always bite me! No one else who's nearby...it has to be me! Seriously, what is it about my blood that they like?

I have yet to be bite this early into the summer season, but suspect my first bite is not far away. I generally go and work at a summer camp during the summers and that is were I get most of my bites -- all over

I hate mosquito bites so much, and they usually get me right on the ankle or the foot. I've had a couple on my toes, but I've never managed to get one on my finger tip like some of you guys have xD

I only seem to get bitten on my legs, which is OK, cus it doesn't itch there. Or at least I don't notice it. Besides, I have one of those mosquito nets covering my window, so no problems having it open while I sleep.

last time, i even got a mosquito bit me in my ................... zzzz ....... hard to say ..... BACK... if i want to scratch it .... i will need help from my friend or the corner of the wall
