Monthly fee question

When i bought WoW today the guy at the shop said that the more charcters you have the more bandwith you use and the more you have to pay??? I haven't seen anything about this yet. I'm pretty sure this isn't true but I'm just gonna make sure.

Untrue, how would they charge gamecard users then? and i have about 50 nameholders, so wouldn't i be charged hella?
