Money Maps

So, do you like to play money maps?

No, I don't. Used to, in an extent, as almost all newbs, but not anymore, at all. Though I've always prefered normal maps.

I play it sometimes with some BF folks, because that's what they are used to play...

Though I usually win

They are ok, every couple of days i don't mind playing Micro Jail Intense for a 2v6 comps for a bit of fun. And other times i play a Fastest map with Viz because he is dying to. I voted no though...

I do for the shear inportance of winning, I am that bad that I need money maps to win (sometimes no rush then I truly rape).

I don't like the no rush maps, they take forever and in the end it's just newblars massing BCs/Carriers/Guards. Which can be easily countered, in fact, i'd like to counter the shit out of some newblars one day...

wraiths+gols+valks can kill BCs easy.

Goons+sairs+storm also can beat BCs... though I am not a toss expert so ask renzo

Devourers+scourges+mutas might be good vs BCs... oh and plague! But I am not a zerg player... ask sakuhta he should know

@icy , for fun mass the air killing unit, example toss:sair zerg:devour(scourge get killed to easy) and terran: valks , this is just for fun , to actully kill u need some more units like sair//scout or something

I'll go through each race and say what i think is the best counter for each massing-unit.

PROTOSS​

BCs: Scouts/Dragoons/PSI-Storm

Guardians: Corsairs/Scouts/PSI-Storm

Carriers: Scouts/Dragoons/PSI-Storm

Note, you don't have to use PSI-Storm, but it helps, i always like to have at least 6 High Templars around my base at any one time for defense, besides, at 112 damage that works wonders on clumped units, who wouldn't want to use it ^_^

TERRAN​

BCs: Goliaths mainly, you could use Wraiths at support, but they cost a bit and can be easily gunned-down by BCs. I wouldn't use Valkyries, only use them vsing Zerg and when you want to harass your opponent. Using BCs as well is fine, but try to always have some Goliath backup, if anything.

Guardians: Wraiths/Valkryies, basically another air unit against it, guardians do some mean damage to ground units so it would be wiser to get air, and i would suggest more Wraiths than Valkryies. If your opponent has anti-air support, then whack some Goliaths in, it never hurts to get Goliaths.

Carriers: Goliaths and Wraiths, definately way more Goliaths than Wraiths. If you use these two and focus-fire and take down one Carrier at a time, you'll leave your opponent gasping for air!

ZERG​

BCs: As TrongaMonga said, throw a darkswarm near the BCs (Preferably get at least 4 Defilers, you might want to darkswarm alot) and move your Hydralisks under it and watch the fireworks. Not much else really works unless you outmass him with Mutalisks/Devourers/Hydralisks, if you do that, you will lose a shiteload of units.

Guardians: Mutalisks, darkswarm + Hydralisks (As said before), Scourges (Two will kill a Guardian), Devourers (Possibly, but don't rely heavily on Devourers).

Carriers; Again, darkswarm + Hydralisks and definately Scourges, possibly a few Mutalisks, but don't waste every penny on Mutalisks.

Bleh, that's about all i can think of, i hope it helps. And note, i am a Protoss player, i suck at the others, but as you can see, i know how to counter =/

I've never really played money maps i was one of the lucky few who started off with limited money gamers, but i think money maps are good for people who just want to play for fun.

yeah i just play money map for a little fun and it's nice to kill a comp with my friends once in a while. we jsut do it relax. u no seeing a noob comp terran getting stuck on fastest b/c he put the refiner right in the middle of all that crap. i would like to know who on earth decided to bunch up all those gas all in one line? they just get stuck and then u can't get in meaning wasting minerals (not that you can in that map )
