do you guys realize that in the last 4 months the number of mods has increased by 50%

back on may 26 the number of mods and staff was 40, and now we are up to 60

all i can say is wow, has the work load increased that much? i don't even know a quarter of them. where are they all coming from?

i never actually listened to the general posters when they said there were too many mods, but now i'm starting to see what they mean.

Many mods…. Hmmm, it does seem a little crazy having that many. I suppose the bf workload must’ve increased. Your not suggesting we “cut the fat†are you (getting rid of a few)?

yeah... but i know from experience that we do need a fair few mods, mainly because we need an able person to mod their selected forum during the "off- time" when other the mods aren’t on – and vice-verse

no, but we had new sections being added on and it's only now that i realise that the mods of all the new sections are pretty much mods that have taken on more responsibility. all the new mods are being put into old sections, while there are older mods who still only have 1 or 2 sections.
maybe it's by choice though, i don't know all the details, as i haven't talked to any of them yet.

Well Im still able to mod GFX Land, The Asylum, and Chit-Chat pretty well. Is that saying alot? OR SHOULD WE GET TEH NEW MOD FOR TEH GFX LAND?LOLOLOL\

-edit-

Before I get to school I have another idea.

I have noticed that kamikaze, Maverick, and some other senior staff and above are listed as regular mods in there previous sections. Maybe we could remove them, because it makes it look like we have more mods then we really do.

my 2 cents

The addition of CS forums added some new mods but alot of them were just mods from other sections too. But i have to say SC and W3 sections got liek 4 mods for each place, i mean they dont recieve as many hits like the general section or the Diablo section. I mean there are alot of nice people who qualify for mods in different sections, but that doesnt mean they should go make all of them mods, especially when they got enough already.

there are 2 mods per race in warcraft, 4 on general, 4 on hacks. replay has 2, and zaku never goes in there, map has a huge number of views and 4 (3 active).

and WOW is my baby. Warcraft section is set for any scenario, since i wont be online as much the new mods can handle it. btw faint was added by me and i dont know what the hell it is about anything with a girl.

SC has 2 each, not counting it's Staff Member, accept for Ghost that has one, and UMS that has three.

I personally don't think we are overmodded per say, I lean more towards the fact that we are getting into the Fall slow down time.
Once Winter sets in we should seem good.

What's wrong with a lot of mods? I mean BF is a very large place and what makes it bad to have the mods increased by number?

I nominate Slice

I think that the number of members increased more, Kami. I am not good with numbers but I remember that the *Placebo incident* brought BF back from 25.000 (aproximately) to 13.000 members last May. In the last 5 months the total number of members has increased by 150%.

And the Diablo Forums need at least one more mod per forum.
