Modem/IP play

Is there any way at all to do modem or direct IP multiplayer in warcraft 3: Frozen Throne?

Now does anyone now where I can get the latest version of lancraft? Apparently Theres a version > 1.01b, which is the annoying crap and randomly failing one i got
battlelan is 200/xp only
