I was wondering how I would mod a tome to add X to a stat instead of the basic 1 or 2. During the old patch, I believe it was accomplished by editing the mpq files...but how do we do it now? Triggers?

Example: The player buys a single tome of +10 strength. It adds 10 to str without the user having to click any charges.

Thanks :)

Create a trigger that when a unit buys an item, he automatically uses it. That is with consumable, but tomes automatically do that. I also believe it'd be found in "Abilities" under Items. (in the Object Manager)

As Starsoft said, you would need to edit the skill the strength tome is attached to.

Does anyone have a link that will show me an example of how to create a custom ability, such as +10 strength?

I figured out a way to do it, although it is semi-inefficient. I created an item with X charges, and whenever a hero aquires the item, I have it automatically used..for however many charges there are. It works, although if it goes above about 50 it could start to lag people's computers when used.

Edit: I'm using RoC, not TFT
