Mod Help

I need help with correctly putting mods on or either it does not work. I installed a drop mod for diablo 2 LoD, and the cinamatics work, but when I click on single player, I get a Unhandle Exception mesage, so if you could help me with this I would really apperciate this very much. But also it could be that; my Diablo 2 LoD; it is not updated, if so please help me.
