The problem with MMOs is mostly its the electronic aspect of the game.
I could argue that WoW in fact sucks, but some people do play it and enjoy it. But then there is this concept I dislike, but Mike has shed some light on it to me a while back.
Its the whole "Pay to Play" thing. Sure you are spending a minor fee per month to play, but then after 2 years, you realize how much you spent... regardless of how much fun you had with it and how much you enjoyed with others over 2 years.
Plus, most MMOs are RPGs. I have had friends be total selfish and boastful buttpricks. There would be arguments, quarrels, and tempers flying, over some minor crap like a game.
Other than that, I have no real reason to hate a game like WoW, or MMORPGs for that matter. Laharl dislikes it for far, illogical reasons in my opinion.
When you do it on pen and paper, at least you are with friends you trust, or complete strangers. The only reason you would get yelled at is for making a dumb move or something along the lines.
