It's kinda sad seeing snake that old, but hell Kojima has his reasons.

Well, it will likely be 5-10? years after MGS2? Plus Liquid said that The three brothers would age quickly. I mean look at Solidous in MGs2, he looked old.

Plus snake was made in like the 90s, and Big Boss was well into his 60s when he made Snake. So do the math, it actualy makes alot of sense.

TBH i'm more excited to see raiden in next-gen form. Kojima said he'll be a lot cooler than he was in MGS2.

yeah,it was sad to see snake old and all,and also i never really disliked raiden from mgs2 =/, guess it will be cool to see him "cooler" in mgs4

Well Snake is just a clone, so he is old. It probably means that Snake might "die" soon, and then Raiden wil either be the lead for most of any sequals, or something else happens. K
remember Liquid and Ocelot, Liquid lives on through Ocelot, maybe snake can steal somones body, wouldn't that rock!?

I actually saw this trailer about two days ago. I can't really extract any meaning from it plot wise.. other than Snake has aged, and Otacon is still alive. Does anyone have any guesses as to what's going on in the trailer? Since this is ten years after MGS2 (Well, it said X years, which is PROBABLY ten, but it might mean "x" as in a variable), I'm guessing that, maybe, the whole conspiracy behind the patriots has broken out..? And it seems the combat was in an urban environment, which might mean it's a full scale war of some sort.

hmm. I really don't belive the old man is Solid Snake. I belive it's Big Boss. One- i don't think it's been 10 years. If you check out ign, they say it's only been 3 years. Second, Solid Snake doesn't wear a eye patch. Big Boss does. If you've played Snake Eater (msg3) then that's a prequel and it's Big Boss (the man who Solid/Liquid/Solidus) were cloned from. Can't be for sure tho. Otacon does just say "Snake" .

think about this very carefuly, at what point has Big Boss and Otacon ever known each other. Bigboss is like 40 years before Otacon was even around. lus the eye patch is on the wrong eye.

Big Boss' eye patch is on the right. plus if you look closely at the vid when the little metal gear(MG mark II) scans snake it shows 'Solid Snake' on the screen.
