MF mod

has anyone ever used this Mod for d2hackit?
ive been playing around with for an hour or so and i kinda get some good drops then i change the hex number and nothing drops. any help?

MF mod is a old beta mod never proven to work or fail. In my attempts and many others it has failed tho. It stopped at beta tho and I'd conclude it not to work

okay well bossmode on open is sort of like an MF mod. it makes every moster act like a boss with its drop. even chests and what not. ive played with it and yes it does increase chances.

every time i try to use it it always shuts down my d2 hackit so it is probly patched or something like that or it just was put together wrong well i dunno

well, i have no mf on my char that im using and so far with this mf mod thing, all it does is tell u when to kill the boss and has a counter that says when he is most likely to drop the best stuff, and so far ive found: +2 bow with about 50-150 dmg, eyeless, 75-265 lance with decent mods, and some other odds and ends. now, u have to remember two things.... im on classic and im not using ANY mf items at all. i would say its working pretty decent

editing post from about, just found a good 30/20 shield and nice pally scepter... this mf mod def. works, it just appears you guys didn't use it right before when you tried it? i dunno but imma keep playing around with it and see if better stuff drops...
hopefully my friends gets on who has a real mf char and then he can test it out and ill tell you the results

eck. That module is old, very old. And it doesn't work. Just because you get lucky and find an item while using it, does not mean it works...


It supposedly tells you when your best chance for good drops is. The problem lies in the fact that it DOESN'T know. Maybe if there was any explaination somewhere...

the problem here is that people only try this for a hour. Items drop at any time. You can get very good drops for 3 days straight, and then not gety anything for a long time. For anyone to prove this works, you would have to do millions of runs. If you say your getting better drops, you are only getting lucky, the mode has nothing to do with it!

Its all based on luck and you can still get stuff with no mf so there is no way to find out.

it would be alot easier to prove/disprove it if we had the source code...or at least the knowledge of what its doing.

(My estimate is a random timer interval at a random starting point).


Actually, I have a theory for a method of knowing when the best drops are - but there would be a few key things necassary that can't be done (so I'm not even going to explain it)

I have TONS of ideas how a dupe-method could work...but there are like >10000 key-things necassary that can't be done (so I'm not even going to explain it)
