Mercenary Help

My mercenary is level 77 . His aura is holy freeze.
the problem is he cannot tank hell meph or andy!
this is his equip:

He cant tank either of them long enough for me to kill the boss, can someone help? Is it my gear?

maybe give em a shako or a gaze. i dunno... mine uses botd gaint treasher, eth shako, ber shaftstop.. and umm in my opinion holy freeze suck ass.... get the def 1 like i did.. good 7k def ^.^ i own hell with that merc expect for act4 minnons.. damn curses..

eh.... its hard to get ANY merc to tank meph/andy in my experience...meph specially - andy is just annoying with all the little farts

Only option, not trying to be a dick is...kill em faster -- my 89 shaft/gaze/tusk husk sword cant last long vs meph...but i usually get him down rather quickly

i think i know my problem, my skills are only 21! I dont have any of the good items like war travs and shako and such to give +to skills AND MF, so i do like 400 damage max with orb, not enough in my opinion :/

I dont see why he cant tank, hes got pretty good items

Maybe you dont do enough (or fast enough) killing

BTW for eth bone hew, AMN and HEL was bad idea, 2 amns are better

Oh and Ive just noticed, lvl 77 is low, do Shenk + eld run in hell

well he is level 81 o\now along with me, im at a friends house so i cannot check my pindle bot and see if i leveled or what I got :/
I wish theere was a way to connect the pbotlog to my website, so i can see it !!!
Yeah level 81, nothing new, arg, he can barely tank andy, but i need at least 3 rejuv pots EACH run!

I am yet to MF any on my new FO sorc, but right now shes at ~600~ max with orb....but thats with mf gear on

not surprised to see a merc die to a boss...... i think bosses do extra dmg to minions (necro's skeleton/golem, zon's valk, "castable helpers") and mercs

although I just put a botd CB in my act 5 mercs hands....

He is yet to die to meph with it

Meph is just naturally hard for merc

Andy is naturally hardp robly, those poisons own mercs bad

and 3 rej? Thats not alot... theres plenty of rej pots in the game, I only give full rej to merc (yep his own belt slot)

Unless you can seriously stack your merc with some serious items, hes going to continuously die to meph.....mine is doing ALOT better, but he still dies.
