Meph vs. pindle

I wanted to know who drops better...people say this and that and so i did a test...a farily short one that i will extend on and do an un-hacked char. Also i added the char i used for u to download
25 runs for meph, 25 for pindle both on hell...
SO i hacked a char with 35000 mf just to amplify their drops and here they are....

The First thing that i would like to say is that im disgusted! With 35k mf thats all i got???????

N e way as u can see meph drops way more, (almost every time)
while pindle drops nothing most of the time. BUT Pindle appears to drop better stuff...like da shcaffers hammer while meph drops pretty much crap. So i guess its still a dispute therefore tommorow ill do the same thing except with a legit char.

Pindle does drop better. It looks like you have unbalanced mf tho. and having 35k mf thats a laugh. Try using about 350 read about it from thirteen

he was just tryin to get good drops on a completly experimental lvl.....
i used a pally with 6k mf to find some of the new uniques for 1.10 right when the beta patch came out and u wanna know what?
i found a good majority of em... they fell like mad......

Try doing 1000 runs each, youwill see that meph is better, also dont use 35k mf, use 300-450

actually there isnt even really a difference between using 5,000 mf and 500,000 mf when its about which stuff drops.

The actual % that is applied towards finding each type of item. Magical is full, Rare/Set/Uniques are less.

and why would you use 300-400 instead of 35k? I dont understand, even with diminishing returns, why wouldnt you use 35k?

mephy drops better, but not as valueable, but you can do pindle runs about 3x times as fast as you can mephy

I read that thing about MF by thirteen a while back, it's not very fresh in my mind but here it goes. You see that chart? With that much mf. Your chances of uniques are actually a bit DIMINISHED. Why? Look at the chances to get magic items... it would overwhelm the chances you get unique items wouldn't it? It would almost guarantee a magical item when you kill normal monsters. So 300-450 is muuch better than 35k.

interesting point. The thing with mephisto is that he drops quantity. Pindle drops quality. However, Mephisto can drop items with rolled down stats, transfering one unique's stats into another item. Search through the forums, i think 4 have been found, including hellcap and hellplague rings. It happens once in a blue moon tho.

No. This isnt closed bnet, he is using a character editor (obviously), so he is going to be able to pretty much one shot pindle. Even with diminishing returns, the more MF the better your chances are. You will get more uniques with 35k then you will 300-450.

Except that the game rolls for unique items before it rolls for magical items. If it gets a unique it stops...

No Guru YOU dont understand. The more mf you got, the more magic items mf you got that will overwealm the unique magic find, hence, LESS UNIQUE ITEMS. It doesnt matter if it is open or closed, unless using a mod which would make this test useless!

Read the post above you. The game doesn't roll for magical items first.

n e way ill start my next runs with my legit char in like 20 miuntes so....

and i chose 35k mf to
1. amplify drops
2. to c if they drop really good with that much mf n e way
so
the legit char is gonna have "maximum" mf of a legal char.
and then ill (cuz u want me too....) do a 350 mf char
