Ever viler screams shot forth, cutting through my head like cold, sharp blades. But they were nothing to the sound I heard next – the deathly churning of sand that heralded the arrival of the thresher.

i hope these monsters are tough, u know, u hear them coming and u think FUCK. kinda like the exploders in act 5 in d2. Could be cool but they'll probably go down in 1 or 2 shots like everything else.

are they tamable? to a degree?

Burroughs had retrieved a large object, a cage of some kind, covered with a black tarp. This cage was the source of the hellish emanations. Thick ropes hung down from somewhere deep beneath its dark shroud. "That's not far enough," he said. As if to prove his point, he shook the cage he was holding.

the bestiary page talks about how hunters know how to deal with the creatures and this guy is carrying one. Could hunters be a class in d3? i hope not.

on another note...

these things are found in the desert. Are we going back to lut gholein? it says borderlands but isnt lut gholein one of the only ports on that continent?

because its the biggest if not the only port on that island? People don't fly over landmass ya know.

there are 2 port cities on the left island, the closest on the right island is gea kul(and kurast not further). would it make more sense to leave from kingsport or lut gholein?

The Dune Thresher better make a sound, or leave a shadow while underground cause I'm not trying to get assinated by some sand creature.

I think they'll leave a tremors style mound of moving sand towards you. ALthough there is something to be said about randomly getting ganked by swarms of critters. that could be fun too.
