Mechanic Help Please?

Ok, I have a question for everyone out there about car doors...

There is pretty much two parts of a door, one side is the side the frame where the window, the locks, and the latch is on... The other side is where the buttons are, arm rest, and all that fun stuff...

What attaches these two together? Well, here it is...

I was pulling from one side, friend the other... Well, while pulling the inside popped off the frame...

Now all I need to know is what hooks these two together and, the cost of the job to fix it?

LOL... If I'm not mistaken.. it's welded on. If not it shouldn't be too hard to find where the bolts should go, if you look for the holes.

But I'm pretty sure it's welded on.

I just found out, lol... My GF's dad laughed at her when she asked him... It's a five minute process and they are attached with plastic clips...

Cannot be welded on, how are mechanics supposed to fix wires, the windows, and the door locks? Cannot if they are welded on...
