I've played my friends, which has both, and idk why, but having one is just cooler, like you've got your offhand, then the badass glaive, instead of both, cuz wielding both looks retarded, though sheathed they look sick.

I think their drop rate was increased, a lot. In my server, there were two glaives for some six months, then the past month some four or five dropped.
