I believe this method will work, fine, provided you do it right, it works on the same principle as what i said in my thread cept th e hex program causes the character error so you don't have to shut down your computer

Well if it dont work for some i got an idea that might work. put the item u want duped on the trade screen then click the check but tell your friend not to accept yet. then use the hex thing to dissconect you and then use aim or phone right away to tell your friend. once doing this he accpets the trade and gets the items but on your character it hasnt auto saved since no trade on your comp took place. I have no idea if this may work just an idea that popped into my head. Although if u do try and it does work let me know.

how do you go round editing the running game ? you need to access the memory of your comp don t you...still very unclear

now i said it in the other thread u CAN access memory of all running tasks. download ollydbg, it is an jit [just in time] debugger, you can access the whole memory with it and change it.
1. install ollydbg
2. start diablo ii
3. start ollydg
4. in olly go file->attach and select diablo ii.exe [u get an error, click ok ]
5. go to the thing right next to file, pull it down, and select running modules
6. select d2common
7. d2common is loaded
8. in d2common hex screen right click and choose copy/paste or so [the category] then choose select all
9. the text should now have a grey background
10. right click again and select binary->fill with NOPs
11. the game is now crashed, u should probably do the trade stuff and thing after stepp 7 or 8
12. exit olly, the dll is not saved, because u didnt even edit the dll, u edited the memory and thats unloaded now

u should probably do trade stuff and so on before step 7 or 8.

edit: got a question, when my game craches, will the trade screen on the other persons comp close immidealatey [shit fukin word]?! if it wouldnt, i shouldnt get world inactive, but cd key in use, or what?

i've done everything you said crashed the game etc, but when i return the item isn't in my inventory, it isn't duping, whats the best time to do this trick to get it to work, after trade, straight into game, plz help

Well i tried the one with ollydbg word for word, but it crashes the whole game. And is it supposed to popup a message that says "unhandled exception", or freeze until i close ollydbg? Because it just freezes.

After that i tried hexworkshop.... i edited diabloII.exe, game.exe, d2common.dll, all the files i thought were important. This didnt do anything to the game itself - it was running normally.

Can anyone elaborate on one or both of the methods?
