[rain]"Captain" Lou Albano has passed away at the age of 76.

Albano, perhaps best known to gamers as the live-action Mario in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, died of natural causes yesterday aged 76.

Albano was a wrestler, a manager, and an actor, and also hit the mainstream when he appeared in music videos for three Cyndi Lauper songs - Girls Just Want To Have Fun, She Bob, and The Goonies 'R' Good Enough.

In terms of music, though, we best remember him from the video below.

Our thoughts our with Albano's family.[/rain]

He used to be a wrestler or a wrestling manager...

I do believe he always used to eat a fish. But don't quote me on that one.

And if stoner memory serves me correctly he used to be on "Salute your shorts" every now and then.

I didn't know this, can you cite your source?
Thought it would be kinda obvious for fans of Nintendo. Every single Nintendo fan I know hated that game. The only good parts were those hallucination levels with the floating blocks and stuff. Kinda sad, as that was more or less was a tribute to Mario 64, not part of the actual game.

The spirit of the series died. Galaxy did a poor job at reviving it, imo. Could have been much better.

Galaxy was fucking amazing. Stop acting like what you say is fact.

It was just an opinion. I enjoy the 2D versions over the 3D versions. Also, never said it sucked. Galaxy was good, but it wasnn't nearly as amazing as the hype suggested it would be. I expected Mario 64 innovations, not only the gravity stuff. Hard to explain it properly.

As for paper Mario: loved the N64 versions. Later versions were ok, but I'm used to Nintendo re-inventing old series all the time. Maybe gamers have been spoiled to much. ;)

So again: Galaxy was pretty good. Just keeping my fingers crossed for the sequal. Haven't seen anything of it yet. Kinda scared that it suffers from the Mario Party syndrome: more of the same. However, more of Galaxy isn't that bad if you think about it.
