Don't be Lazy and do it yourself(15 squares between map revealers, I think 18 will even work!)
Im pretty sure 18 is way over shooting it. I actually did alot of research with map revears for that stuff. I belive the veiw radius is about 8 units. If using a sqaure alignment you must have them close enouth to where the radius of two digainal to eachother can detect the area between them. Its been a while since I have done this but I don't belive you can do it more effecently than Star Forge unless you place your map revealers in a triangular pattern.
