Map genre question

I am working on a new map that I call King of the Hill - two teams vying to control a single central point. If a team member touches the point, a countdown timer starts for that team until a team member from the other team touches the point, at which time the first team timer stops and the second team timer begins. First team to control the point for 5-10 minutes (when the timer reaches 0) wins. Each player can have a hero and/or additional units as necessary for balance and could build towers or other things if I have the time to balance it all. To make the game interesting, and what may be the novelty of this design, I have placed “aura towers†that handicap the team controlling the point. For example, the team that is controlling the point will have reduced armor, movement speed, attack damage, etc. (or conversely, the non-controlling team will be increased, depending on whether I get an answer to my other question on damage reduction auras). So, you need to control the point to win, but controlling the point makes you easy (or easier) to kill.

This seems like a concept that should be out there and since I don’t play many different maps on Bnet, please let me know if you have seen this general concept. Of course, if you have comments on the idea, I would welcome those as well.
