OK I'm pissed! I need to know why my map editors won't work. I download, unzip, and try to open. The Stardraft thing comes up, and then I go with StarEdit. I starts to load, and says "blocking code failed to initialize - Windows NT users will see problems." I don't have NT, I have 2000 professional! :p Then StarEdit comes up without any special things. Can anyone help me? :)

Are you intending to try and make something good with those downloaded Map Editors? If not, don't frusterate yourself in trying to find out why it doesn't work. I find StarEdit to be good for most UMS maps, except those in which you wanna mix Terran, Protoss and Zerg units together, and still maintain the player's colour.

In all honesty, I don't think anything is wrong, I used to use an Emerald Patch, it did the same error message, but worked fine.

Try this download page, it is for the Xtra Editor 2.5, a far better system than most.

You may need to unzip it with WinRAR, or something like that, I am told.

The X-tra editor has it all. The best. And you don't need WinRAR. Because i don't have that and i unzipped it fine.

You should have put this as a new post it would have gotten more readers.

Usually when a map crashes the game, it's because something has been placed so that part of it laps outside the map. It will need to be moved in, or deleted.

Or

Something has been placed that is labeled unused by the editor, when it is seen on the map, the map crashes. I seem to remember some maps called "Don't Look" that used this as a trick.

There may be other reasons, but these are the main reasons I am aware of.

As far as sharing online, that can be everything from slow connection that won't let anybody join the game, Bnet problems, to the ports not being opened with a broadband connection.

You'll have to give more details to get more help.
