Making dupe legits?

I heard that there is a way to make Dupes legit.
I've heard u have to sell them to charsi or someone else and buy it back. and then it would be legit..
is it true or possible?

i havent heard if this is true. but i know there is a way to make them temporarily legit but u have to do it every game.
put the item in the trade screen take it out and leave game really fast. u must do this every game that u think the same item with the same id is in.

They say that if you socket a item the number changes *every items is build out of numbers and with a dupe you've got 2 times the same number(code)* so if 2 items with same code are in 1 game it will dissapear if you socket it this code will change so it won't dissapear but legit........no it isn't but you won't lose it

selling to a vendor and buying back is considered perming
your duped item is considered a non-permed dupe
that is just one way of perming there are a couple other methods such as putting the item in the trade screen and leaving

Legit: Not a "duped" item. Was found by defeating a bad guy (diablo, mephisto, etc)

Duped: Item that has been created due to a glitch in programing that has been expoited.

Therefore...a "duped" item will never be considered legit.


I believe what your talking about has more to do with perming to some extent.

Your making your dupe look like its not a dupe to the computer (changing the coding of the item by sockets/selling)

Theres rumor that socketing ur item would change it, but im not sure if its true

dust you are wrong its considered a "temp-perm" not a perm. this means that you will have to do that every game you enter in order to get a 100% chance of not dissapearing

socketing does not make the item perm. nor does personalizing w/ anya nor does socketing and personalizing
