Major character editor problem

Ok heres my problem. I've downloaded that hero editor thing "zonefire and the other zonefire like thing" But I can't get them to work. Every time i try to open up one of my character saves to edit them it says theres an error something about switching from multi by. to singe by...which i have no idea how to do.

So can someone PLEASe help me. (oh and I had a level 99 Sir Orlock necro I used to beat diablo2 but once i moved him over to LOD it STRIPPED me of my level and title!!!)
