the hobbit would work
the silmarrilion would not simply cuase its not really a story that takes place in middle earth.
its more like reading a history book of middle earth. it talks about differents events happening at different times. that basicaly make up the middle earth chronicles.
lotr and the hobbit are legendary adventures that take place in middle earth
silmarrilion is would be like watching a history channel special on middle earth.
dont get me wrong it would be great for the die-hard fans but it would lose sales and be a fluke if they tried to display it in theatres around the world.
i dont care much for Peter other than he did do a great job on the series. it kinda disapointed me that he acted so upset that LOTR will be what he is always remembered by.
