Lost Items

Alright heres the story; One day outa the blue i decided to get rid of most of my mules (except for a few choice chars) so i make myself a private game. I finally get everything done the way I want (all the items i want to keep are still on mules, the items my friends want are piled and the rest (TONS of crap) is for noobs)
Now basically all i did was move to a general area of rogue encampent, and drop my gear. However i think i dropped too much bcuz the next thing i knew...allll the armors that i had dropped had dissapeared! :scary. Fortunatly b4 i started to freak out i realized that they were only a bunch of glad banes,tals, and ik. So...no big loss, but still what was this all about?. I assume just an error that happens when u drop enough stuff in one spot.

um...that should not have happened. I never even herd of that happening. You probally dropped it somewhere else and thought you dropped it there.....btw the code for a immage is [ img] and [/ img] not [image] and [/image]

Well in rogue, i dropped items for my friends to the right of charsie...and then noob items by gheed. My friend realized he wanted mavs armor for some reason so i head over to the noob section of town and realize that i cant find any of the armors i put down. i moved all the items to make sure they werent just bein blocked...i went over to the private section of the place...all the armors there were gone to

well blizz does have the timer now for how long items stay on the ground. how long were the items on the ground? i think the timer is like 5-10 min.

quite a while ide say all the items were on the ground for at least 10 mins each

what? lol, items dont disapear after 10 minutes, ive had 3 hour mule games and nothing dissapeared.

Yeah, maybe during 1.09. I've had that happen to me, but only lost some junk. That still doesn't compare to when I lost an unid WF + good pk gear during 09 after being in that game for 13 minutes ><

it depends on how busy bnet is with the timers and updating. I've transferred gems and junk and some stuff disappeared after about 5 minutes on the ground.

Btw, I don't think it has to do with dropping too many items in one spot, because I have dropped like 50 items in one spot and they stayed there till I left the game. Meh, maybe your friend was like "FREE ITEMS GIMME" and took them all while you were getting a glass of water.

I've had this happen. I think it's too many iems on the ground, so when too many come up, the server or game deletes some others when you drop new stuff. It really sucks.

YES, items do disappear after a while.

Why else do you think there are cow games that are COMPLETELY empty?

Yup me too. Like when a guy dies they pick up EVERY piece of crap that falls. Even cracked clubs and stuff. Lol.
