Lost Char. Question

I was playing Diablo 2 this morning, having a grand ol' time, pwning all with my BowAZon... I went to church, then when i come back My three lvl 70+ characters are dead. No items stolen from my mules and my account is perfectly acessable... Pissed me off, but now I'm over it.

NOW I have questions. I dont know how it happened, but the first thing I thought of is I downloaded something I shouldn't have. I have maphack, chicken and d2loader, thats it and I have been using those for months with no problmes. I Scaned my entire compute with Norton AntiVirus and it found nothing. Just to be safe I scaned my chicken, D2loader and Maphack with VirusTotal.com... found nothing. No one knows my account password... and I am just plain confused. My AntiVirus is always on... though my firewall is normaly off, that has now changed. While I am not pissed off anymore I am currious as to how this happened.... I am scared to start all over for fear of the same thing happening again.

Any one have any sugestions? Ideas? Knowledge? Please I need help here as I want to start over but safely.

It was probably a brute force.

Scan your shit with something else.

A Brute Force? Whats that? How do I stop it? What else should I scan my computer with?

Brute force is when somebody guesses your password correctly..no hacks or anything.

My password was 11 numbers, seems kinda hard to belive they guessed it... I did buy some items online could that have anything to do with it?

a brute force is VERY unlikely nowadays, blizzard temp restricts you you after waht? 5 failed password attempts? anything thats not 0001 - 0005 = VERY hard to accomplish stealing w/ a bruteforce.

Well if I was Keylogged how would I find out? I Now have two AntiVirus Programs on my computer... neither find anything (Norton and AVG). I tried an online scan and nothing. I now have my firewall on. I ran diablo and everthing I usualy ran... Looked at the taskmanager and figured out what every single one ways, using QuickAccess.com... he finaly changed the password on the account... I just changed it so If he changes it again Ill know that Im Key Logged... What I find strange is I went through my account and no items were stolen off of my mules. My brother had taken some that I thought were stolen but he has them. So no items were stolen at all. Lots of PGems left and some great equipment... all that happened is he killed my three high lvls... then he doesn't change my password on my account till around 6 hours latter....

What do I need to do to make sure I'm not keylogged? Anyone?

First of all BogMan, thank you.

I tried the Panda's Active Scan and it did find some stuff, mostly cookies but there were three files that it said used java to maniuplate a computer, I have the windows update that makes them not work but still. I dont know if that had anything to do with it or not.

So now I have used two online scanners, two offline scanners, and used two different multi scaners to scan a lot of files. Only time I found something was with Panda's Scaner and that wasnt that much... Is it posible that I hav a keylogger on my computer and the scanners still are not finding it?

by "my 3 characters are dead" do you mean they are deleted? expired? or HC characters that literally died?

HC Characters that literally died. I have since restarted and had no problems had a high lvl (89) that didnt die, untill I killed her by getting up and getting a drink... so noobish... and now working on a character thats lvl 60 and going up and everything is find now. Starting to think its over with.

and it just happened again, and all I know is that it was someone from bmpk... and I dont know what to do about it... this time my brother was online and even talked to them. he was in the room they were in when my character got killed... how can I find out how they are doing this? they got to my brothers account, and im guessing they did that because I got on his account from my computer... Any help?
