Looking for a college.

Okay, my future profession is most likely going to be environmental design/level design for video games, but I'm having trouble finding a college that is in my state (Virginia) that is cheap and actually has the ****ing course for it. Help please?

Money shouldnt be the thing to hold you back...

It's called Level design. You have 3 choices in majors, Computer Science, Game Design or in some cases like my university, Information Sciences and Technology.

Depending on the major, the area you will go into may be different. Computer Science and IST allows a bit more flexibility in the event you need a plan B or C.

Colleges u have 2 choices - Traditional or a Game schools
I suggest traditional as some companies dont hire from game schools for a variety of reasons. Best thing to do is to get your BA then go into game school for further training.

Its really all up to you.

If you want to shoot high, go for uva or w&m. They both have CS programs.

Virginia Colleges and Universities
Vt, VCU, GMU, William and Mary, ODU, JMU and UVA probably all have the program; they're pretty big colleges.
VT, UVA, JMU, and William and Mary are all pretty hard to get into.

My plan right now is going to be going to Virginia Western Community college for about 2 years, cause if you are there and have at least a 2.8 GPA (or something like that), you are guaranteed into most VA colleges, and you get to keep the same tuition you were paying at Western. I'm gonna check out W&M, cause it was one of the colleges that were matched to my "interests" in this school survey for colleges.

And lastly, Jimbo, I don't really care if you were beiong sarcastic or not, but just go find a corner, shrivel up, and die.
