is it just me or is the media super liberal (CNN is the worst) the only conservative t.v. is fox
It depends who you're talking to. If you're talking to a conservative, then yes. If you're talking to a liberal then the media is biased conservatively.Originally posted by mesiahofpenguins

I only watch local news and BBC so I wouldn't care. But the opinion section of the newspaper is very biased...Originally posted by mesiahofpenguins

No...If someone doesn't agree with you then they're probably liberal. I'm sure we could get tons of liberals in here to tell you that you don't know what you're talking about. Blatantly stating that doesn't make it so though. Please explain to me the liberal bias though. I'd be interesting in hearing what particular reports you think are biased.there is no doubt the media is way liberal cnn, abc, and cbs are all very very liberal and if you don't agree with me then you have no idea what you are talking about
That's just retarded. They still have freedom of speech. If you're that upset about it just don't listen to them.liberal media doesnt peeve me as much as celebrities. Remember when the dixie chicks did their anti bush anti war thing? why? theyre paid to do music, you watch them play listen to their music, thats their job. But when they get the spotlight, they use it as though it were a public radio station. We own celebrities, we want them to act, sing, dance, but not to tell us what to do or how to think. They're supposed to be pure entertainment.
No shit; that's a joke right? But the opinion section of the newspaper is very biased...

so, if i run on stage and say **** john kerry, what would happen to me? theyd take me off stage and likely beat the shit outta me. Is it freedom of speech? if so, why was i taken off the stage?Originally posted by CelestialBadger

The news channels are all PRIVATELY OWNED CORPORATIONS, they have the right to take you off the stage, but they can't beat you unless you posed a physcical threat to the people in the building. You can go up on stage and say "**** John Kerry" and the government would not fine you, but the corporation would get fined. That's almost assured since we have Conservatives running the FCC :\.Originally posted by DwarfSpirits

Celebrities have contracts, these are for movies, tv shows, music, etc. but how many of them have contracts to use media as a tool to be pro or anti something? Why do i have to listen to them in the first place when they shouldnt be talking?
Actually I heard that FOX made a mockery of him and even Bill O'Reilly said that the whole thing seemed like a GOP engineered attack on Kerry.just an example of the biased media fox news interviewd john O' neal the author of unfit for commander a book slamming kerry and shows like the early show interviewed micheal moore. that O neal guy proved that kerry lied abour his war record and fox showed that but i never heard a ord about it on cbs, abc, or cnn
You're not a celebrity, so what stage are you planning on running on to? I'm not 100% sure of the laws on public vulgarity (the FCCs being a real bitch) so I don't know if you could actually use the phrase "**** Kerry", but sure you can publicly say stuff about Kerry. I mean, you're trying to use some sort of hypothetical situation to prove me wrong...? wtfso, if i run on stage and say **** john kerry, what would happen to me? theyd take me off stage and likely beat the shit outta me. Contracts don't govern every aspect of a performers life. Where are you getting these deluded ideas? And do you even listen to the Dixie Chicks? If you do, you don't "have to listen to them" as you say. If you don't, then why the **** are you complaining about it?Celebrities have contracts, these are for movies, tv shows, music, etc. but how many of them have contracts to use media as a tool to be pro or anti something? Why do i have to listen to them in the first place when they shouldnt be talking?
Good, good. You're all cool again.sarcasm and a joke in one! ONLY 19.95!
