Ladder/Non-Ladder

I have always played non-ladder..I have heard that ladder is better although no one has ever really told me exactly why it is better..any feedback would be great.

The reason I think ladder is better is that everyone starts out clean every year. Its like a compitition to see who can get to the top and what they can find. The second reason is there are ladder only items and rune words.
I only started playing online when the ladder started. Now in my 3rd season I do have some non ladder characters from the last 2. Eventualy Im sure the ladder will lose its apeal. Then I will have some characters to play and duel with on nonladder.

My hubby just started a ladder character a couple of days ago..what rune words and items are there for ladder only? Maybe I will start a ladder character as well.

Some people make ladder characters just to have the rune words and ladder only items. Then they transfer them to there non ladder characters once the season is done.

I play both...i think both have good and bad things about them...for instance the bad thing about ladder is that whenever a new player starts..they start on ladder, the good part is the competition and the larger variety of findable/makable items. The bad part of non-ladder is the dupes....but the good part is you're open to bugged items, items from older patches, and items from d2 classic.

Nonladder, easier to get the gear you need. Also I don't like getting Ladder-Onlies to have to wait for the ladder reset. The only ladder-only things I need anyway are Fathom(rofl ima have such a pain getting a perf one) and Infinity maybe, although I'm thinking of using Ebotd or just Eth Hew(Ohm Ohm)

What do you mean ladder-only while waiting for reset? When does it reset? I just started my first ladder character, an amazon. She is still very young, only 4 or 5. I started her this morning and I'm thinking of going with javelin.

Hmmmmm LADDER .... yea i like that idea of all possible rune words available, i think im gonna start playing ladder, haven't played since reset. Well if any of u out there play lader lemme know! East SC Ladder!
