I just wonder if my PC is good enough to play warcraftIII on b.net with no (or just little) lag.

So here it is:
600 MHz processor
480 MB RAM
800 MB hard free space
32x CD-ROM
32 MB GFORCE video card
128/64 DSL connection

I'm sick of playing vs comp and I still get lag when I play on b.net
Any suggestions?

Well, Lag shouldn't be a problem (ur have a DSL connection), but with a 600MHz processor, you might be having some serious jumpyness and incredibly slow load times. You probibly won't lag, but your comp might have some trouble... I donno. Try B.net, and see what happens.

Yeah I'm kinda worried about lag on my comp to, although I don't have War3 yet, I was wondering if any of you could say if my computer will lag or not. Here are my specs:
1 ghz proccesser
128 mb RAM
7 gigs of free HD space
56k connection (This is what i'm really wondering about)
64mb 3D fx card

You could use more ram and maybe a better card, but it should work fine. Just be sure to set the graphic settings on low if you get lag

Nahh my card is pretty good, I've played Max Payne on this computer and it was quite smooth. I was mainly just worrying about my 56k modem, so you think it'll work? I get 50k out of this bitch.

Windows® 98/ME/2000/XP:
400 MHz Pentium II or equivalent
128 MB of RAM
8 MB 3D video card (TNT, i810, Voodoo 3, Rage 128 equivalent or better) with DirectX® 8.1 support
700 MB HD space
4X CD-ROM drive

Recommended:

600 MHz processor
256 MB of RAM
32 MB 3D video card
DirectX® 8.1 compatible sound card

Multiplayer:

Low-latency, active Internet connection rated at 28.8 Kbps or faster. LAN play requires TCP/IP connection.

Are you using a Celeron processor? What programs are running in the back ground? Are you defraging regularly. Things like that you should look at. You meet the recommended spec's. What version of Win? One thing i have found with other games is the recommended is not always best, in other words you should have higher spec's.

As long as you are getting 50 k and your comp isn't jumpy, you should be fine.

I have 16mb Stealth III and it works perfectly for WC3. No jumpiness whatsoever and I haven't changed any settings. Although, is there anyway to change the channel resolution to 800x600? After about 3 hours it hurts my eyes and its never done this before. It sucks because I'll be in a good dialouge and then BAM! my eyes hurt and I have perfect vision (20/20) in both eyes and perfect color.

I posted this before, i run a 56K connect most of the time at 24-26K. Can't help it, we live way out of town no DSL. I have only lagged out a few times. Mostly because of programs i forgot to close down that run updates off the net.

My games are never choppy, but i have a 1.5Ghz and 2.0Ghz Dells, with 64MB nvida's, Win2000. THEY ROCK!!!

N(0)DUS, git rid of that WinME... Downgrade or upgrade....

I had major problems with drivers in WinME. One of my Dell's shipped with that. After about 2 formats in a few months, i got rid of that and went to Win2000. Much more stable....

My drivers are problem free right now. And yes I know how stable Win2k is. I'm not in a rush to get a new OS though.
