Killing Baal - effect on council?

I've heard all over that killing Baal, and in effect finishing A5Q6, permanently lowers the XP you get from killing the council after that point.

Is this 100% true and confirmed?

What council? Act 3?? Why woudl that even be....no one kills the council for levels. You do baal runs, that's how you level.

Kaison, you misunderstand. Baal's Council is all five spawns before you fight Baal, or at-least that's what it is in my mind. I'm not talking about the "Council Members" class of enemy.

Can someone just understand my perfectly clear question and answer it?

I'm starting to think it's true. My level 83 Necro is getting XP from Baal runs more slowly than my level 88 Barbarian. The Necro was on a team when Baal was killed and is now a Patriarch. The Barbarian is still a Champion.

I really don't know if the rumor is true, but if you do get baal quest then I suppose all you can do to get "good" experience is the secret levels with the 3 keys. Which aren't all that hard to find.

I doubt that rumor is true cuz my lvl 91 hammerdin bearly receives exp and ive done those portals plenty of times. Is it me or when ur lvl 90 u receive exp better doing chaos runs, cuz i was doing chaos runs for a friend and my pally received this much in like 6 runs | | :-/ and runs dont take long :bouncy

Actually, you get more xp at lvl 84 (give or take a few) doing chaos runs than baal runs. Then baal runs give more around lvl 88-99

Wow must be the opposite for me cuz i get less experience doing chaos runs at lvl 75 than baal, and get more in chaos then baal at lvl 90, i dunno i gotta see the difference for myself ill chaos run my hammerdin than baal him see which is the better choice

it is NOT TRUE. if you look on the arreat summet. after a certain level you only get so much % of the exp.

from 6?-8? you only get like 7?% of the exp...

killing baal or ne other boss does NOT judge how much exp you get. your LEVEL does.

not true. the amount of exp you get is judged on the moster you kill. the farther you are in the game, the more exp.

but how much exp you get is removed by a certain % cause of your level

The rumor seems true for me...

Like I said, my level 84 Necro just did a Baal run with eight people in the game, and his XP bar didn't even move. However, I can take my level 88 Barbarian on a Baal run and his will move a few millimeters. The Barb is a Champion, and the Necro is a Patriarch.

I think your dumb. You still get alot of xp from baal just not as much. And it will (the xp bar) still move up in jumps, just alot smaller ones. Read my post above and the link.
